You all know how much we love white, but we still swoon over a beautiful design with a pop of colour. Martha from Simple Cozy Charm is amazing at carrying the same accent colour throughout her home and even into her she shed. We promise you will find the prettiest shade of pink in every one of her photos, but don't take our word for it. Have a look for yourselves!

simple cozy charm
Can you give a brief introduction of yourself, your home and work?
Hi, I’m Martha, wife to a husband who works away from home 4 days a week, and mother to 3 daughters. This is my 25th year working parttime in the dental field and year 5 with my blog, Simple Cozy Charm. I have always enjoyed creating a cozy and welcoming environment for family and friends, so being able to share inspiration on the internet sparked new joy.
What year was your home built and do you have any details of the history or building process you would like to share?
We built our home in 1998, it is a wausau home, so the frame arrived built. Fifteen years ago we added a sizeable addition and work hard to maintain it’s charm year after year. We still love it 22 years later.
How do you define your decor style? What are your favourite types of decor?
Defining my decor style has always been challenging. I love mixing vintage with modern, and there are pops of glam sprinkled in. I definitely migrate towards all things cottage style, so chippy and shabby chic are a constant go to as well.
What is your favourite thing about your home? Do you have a favourite room or furniture piece?
I don’t have a favorite room, but I have favorite elements, such as our vintage tongue and groove accent wall in our master bedroom. I adore my she shed and it’s bare interior structure.
Do you have any big future plans for your home? What is next for you or your home?
I would love for our next big project to be a basement overhaul. It needs a complete makeover.
If you had one design or decor tip, what would it be?
I have learned that investing in forever pieces is well worth it. Even though I love decorating and re-decorating, I don’t necessarily want to change my decor constantly. Moving and re-arranging pieces fulfills a restyle itch just as much as a new item. Not that I don’t love shopping new home decor.
Do you have a business or social media tip you can give to all those who want to start a blog or home decor business?
Staying consistent and being genuine in who you are and your style.
Thank you Martha for taking us on this charming tour of your cozy family home. If you guys love Martha as much as we do, go send her some love @simplecozycharm. Don't forget to tell her who sent you!
